The right candidate for the quality assurance engineer role at The Garrigan Lyman Group (GLG) creates and implements manual testing strategies to create innovative test plans. He or she ensures that the projects being delivered have been tested using a variety of testing methodologies and meet the requirements as specified. The web quality assurance engineer works collaboratively with the project management and development teams at GLG by serving as a bridge between end users and creators. This isn't a role for a highly-technical SDET or testing automation guru, but is a foot in the door to a dynamic digital agency for someone with attention to detail, strong communication and an interest in technology. This full time position on our Flex team will require flexibility with hours and work location to meet client needs (standard hours, Tuesday-Friday, 1-10 p.m. and Saturday-10 a.m.-6 p.m.) .
Here’s what success looks like:
Aside from what’s inferred above, you’ll be better prepared for the role if you’ve had experience writing test plans and using tools that we’re using daily like browser debugger tools, Fiddler, Firebug, Xenu, etc. Because a digital agency like ours is fast moving and fluid, experience working somewhere like GLG will make for a smoother transition.
